In designing each location, core elements of Maria Montessori’s method have been considered and rooted into the design. These elements include Simplicity, Minimalism, Organization, Accessibility, Security and Silence.
Angus Valley Montessori schools aim to prepare children for a lifetime of learning where they also gain valuable lessons that will serve them well beyond their primary years. The physical learning environment is key to ensuring the Montessori method of teaching is fully realized.
Simplicity and minimalism are represented by natural and muted colours creating a sense of calm. Light wood tones and few but intentional accents are thoughtfully incorporated in each area. A concise definition of Biophilic Design is the love of life in nature.
AVM Schools have many areas where this design is incorporated to positively affect the well-being of both children and adults who spend time in them.
