Our schools support healthy eating. Students and teachers sit together to enjoy meals, practicing conversation and good manners. Hot lunches and snacks are prepared in our kitchen following Chef Russo’s monthly menus, which are posted for parents to see. We accommodate special diets and
allergies and our schools have a nut-free policy.
Experienced Executive Chef, graduate of McGill University and Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Chef Guillermo Russo brings his skills to AVMS. With the same passion he applied to positions at Pusateri’s Fine Foods, Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants and Gordon Ramsay Group, he has developed new custom menus and nutritious recipes for our students. Russo’s work with AVMS also includes streamlining food safety and quality control measures across the board as we grow.
We have a strategic supply arrangement with family-owned Longos, and its Grocery Gateway delivery service, to provide its high quality food items to our locations. Longos tradition of quality, service and value is aligned with our commitment to providing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks to the students in our care.
Our dedicated Chef’s and kitchen staff at each of our locations, help instill a love of healthy eating for the next generation, by creating nutritious appetizing meals to entice even the pickiest of children’s palates.
Angus Valley Montessori Schools boast a vast nutritious menu made from locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. We also offer alternatives for students with special diets and food allergies.
