On Monday, December 18th, 2023, we hosted our Annual Holiday Concert at the City Playhouse Theatre. Parents, students, and teachers reveled in a festive atmosphere and were treated to adorable performances by our talented young stars!

NEXT OPEN HOUSE - SATURDAY, MARCH 25

Join us for an Open House and Tour of our pre-school on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 9am to 1pm. We are now accepting Summer Camp and September registrations and look forward to sharing lots of information about the centre and our unique approach to Montessori programming for children 18 months to 6 years and nurturing Infant care from 6 months.

Grand Opening Celebration

A ribbon-cutting ceremony officially marked the opening of our school, the 4th Angus Valley Montessori School franchise, and the first to operate in the City of Toronto. Councillor Ward 18 Lily Cheng, families, special guests, and educators joined and helped mark the occasion. AVM Uptown started operating in September 2022.

First Families Tour the School

During the first week of August, we were proud to show parents and children on a tour of our building. Thank you to everyone who came. The classrooms, library and playgrounds were a big hit with the kids...some didn't want to leave.
We all look forward to welcoming enrolled children this fall.

What a Great Turnout May 28th!

Thank you to the many families who joined us on Saturday, May 28th from 11 am to 2 pm in the food court at Yonge Sheppard Centre for our first in-person information session. We shared details about our programs for ages 6 months to 6 years, our school's classrooms, fee schedules, daily menus and answered questions. NEW FRANCHISE OWNERS ANNOUNCED

AVM Schools’ management team is pleased to welcome Nikki and Vishal Gupta, as the new Franchisees of AVM Uptown.

Franchisees Nikki and Vishal Gupta feel strongly about providing parents both peace-of-mind and a top-quality early learning experience for their children. Nikki and Vishal are parents of two girls under 6 years and empathize with families searching for childcare. “Our approach is quite simple: we know what we want and will accept for our daughters, this is how we’ll run our new preschool,” says Vishal. When deciding on childcare for their family, the Guptas chose a neighbourhood preschool offering Montessori programs, where they have seen their girls thrive and be happy to learn.

Nikki and Vishal are both University graduates with established professional careers. They intend to be hands-on in the successful operation of the school. “We chose AVMS because we believe in their vision of a holistic approach to health, education, play, and nutrition. The curriculum they have developed is unique and we cannot wait to bring all of this to families at Yonge and Sheppard,” says Nikki.
