Shaheena Nasir is the franchisee of AVM Kleinburg. She is a proud mother of three children (all of which have been Montessori schooled). Shaheena has been a Montessori teacher for the last 15 years and graduated from the Toronto Montessori Institute (TMI). She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has worked at three different Montessori programs in the York Region throughout her career. She is passionate about children and feels a sense of accomplishment after she presents material to each child, and they can complete it successfully. Her husband always told her to open her own school, and now this dream has become a reality where today, she runs the school together with her son Hussain, who holds a master’s degree in accounting.
Chagi Seneviratne, Supervisor at Angus Valley Montessori Kleinburg, is a passionate educator with 15 years of international teaching experience. A Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with diplomas in Early Childhood Education and Montessori training, she is committed to creating an enriching learning environment where children flourish and grow. Her goal is to nurture independent learners by fostering classrooms where children are deeply engaged in their learning journey, guided by the principle: ‘The greatest success for a teacher is to see children working as if I did not exist.’ Inspired by her mother, a teacher, Chagi brings patience, observation, and a personalized approach to understanding each child’s unique personality.
Calven Williams-Harms is the Chef at Angus Valley Montessori Kleinburg. Cooking is not just a job for him, it has been his passion for over a decade. He deeply cherishes the creativity and joy that comes with bringing delicious food to life. He graduated from Humber College in 2016 with a Culinary Management Diploma and is currently working towards the coveted Red Seal certification. He has been previously employed at Air Canada as a sous-chef and has been working as a chef for Montessori schools for the last 3 years. He chose this path because he believes that cooking is an art form that connects people. Afterall, who doesn’t love a delicious meal? He is incredibly excited to embark on this culinary journey with the children at Angus Valley Montessori Kleinburg. He is eager to learn about their preferences, discover their favorite dishes, and continue to grow as a chef while inspiring the next generation of food enthusiasts.
